How to Install SSMS SQL Server: Quick Guide

Introduction

If you came from Install SQL Server: Quick Guide (With Images!) you are installing your SQL Server right now, when the installation finish, DON’T CLOSE IT. Just click over ‘Install SSMS’ (The third option)

Click on Install SSMS

In case you don’t use my tutorial to install your SQL Server :(… Let’s start going through THIS link.

Downloading

  • Once you are on the website let’s go to “Free Download for SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)” (Maybe you have to scroll a bit)
The download will start immediately after, let’s wait, and then we will click the downloaded file and start the installation process.

Installation

  • Well, this is quite simple, let’s open the file and click on “Install”
Click in install!
  • If all go smoothly, you will be on this page.
Succeeded!

The installation of SSMS is very straight forward, now open it and let’s create our FIRST DATABASE!
